What MindTube Discover does

MindTube Discover is a Chrome extension that turns a mood, activity, genre, or keyword into a set of independent music tracks streamed from the Audius platform.

Data we process

The prompt you type is sent to our backend so AI can translate it into genre and mood tags used to search the Audius catalog. A randomly generated identifier is stored locally to apply fair-use rate limits. Your recent queue and saved favorites are stored locally in Chrome storage on your device.

Audius

Track search and audio streaming are provided by the public Audius API. Streaming requests go directly from your browser to Audius infrastructure and are subject to Audius's own terms and privacy practices. MindTube Discover does not require an Audius account and cannot access one.

Data we do not collect

MindTube Discover does not request access to your Google account, browsing history, contacts, emails, payment data, or files. We do not sell data to third parties.

Third-party services

We use an AI language model to interpret prompts and the Audius API to find and stream music. These services process requests only to produce your track list. The optional "Find on Spotify" button simply opens a Spotify search page in a new tab — nothing is sent to Spotify until you click it.

Data deletion

Locally stored favorites and recent queues can be deleted by removing the extension or clearing Chrome extension site data. To request deletion of support messages or other backend records, contact mindtubecontact@gmail.com or use the support form.
